Chess Valley RFC U14s Win The J P Morgan U14s 7s Tournament
On the 18th September 2011 our U14s 7s team took part in the J P Morgan 7s tournament run by Saracens today at Merchant Taylors had a very successful morning, remaining undefeated against some very good opposition to win the tournament!
Along the way they beat Saracens (League 1) and also OAs A (also League 1) - twice! Chess Valley RFC will now go forward to the national finals of the JP Morgan7s Tournament in the U14s category to be held next summer. A fantastic effort from everyone.
Minis & Juniors at Rickmansworth School
Having had a season at Ricky School, the feedback has been very positive as the school provides significantly increased playing space, changing rooms, car parking spaces and other benefits for this constantly growing section of the club. Although we are now playing at the school, Rickmansworth Sports Club will still be used for midweek training for the juniors, for social functions and after training / matches.
U13s - Herts/Middx League 4 Champions
Chess Valley RFC U13s have had an amazing season and finished Champions of their league..
Remaining undefeated all season with wins against Welwyn, Tabard, Ampthill B, Biggleswade, Grasshoppers, Hemel Camelot, Stevenage and scoring 233 points for and only conceding 44 points against, we won the division with 36 points and one of the best defensive records in the whole league.
A fantastic effort and a wonderful result for all the hard work and training the boys put in.
U11s Season - 2010/11
Herts Festival - semi-finalists in the A plate competition,
Beaconsfield B Festival - won every game, including matches againt London Irish and Amersham and Chiltern,
Holt Festival - losing finalists, having won every game on the way to the final.
Having gained momentum through the season, the end came too early for us as we had hit top form! Some notable games against bigger clubs like Harpenden, OA's and Tring where we were far from outclassed and ran them all close. For the 'Player's player' award we had 11 players who received votes from their peers, showing the strength in depth that we now have.

Chess Valley RFC U10s Win The Plate at the Hertfordshire Festival 2011 and The Barnet Festival
It has been a wonderful season for the U10s with them winning the Plate at the Hertfordshire Festival as well as becoming Champions at the Barnet Festival earlier in the season.
U10s Lead Coach, Gerry Boyle also won the award forCoach Of The Year at the Club Awards Evening in May which he dedicated to all the wonderful U10s coaches who have all worked so hard through the season. Well done to players and coaches of the U10s
