Saracens Elite Player Development Group selects a Chess Valley U13
CVRFC is thrilled to announce that at this years County trials, one of our players, Tom Fawssett achieved the quite outstanding achievement of being selected for the Saracens School Of Excellence, the first step on the road with the Elite Player Development Group.
A huge congratulations from the entire club to Tom, well done indeed.
Herts Festival 2010 - Chess Valley RFC's finest placements ever
At the Herts Contact Festival this April, all our teams did themselves and the club proud, especially the U9s who made it to the Quarter Finals of the A team (Cup) competition, being knocked out by the eventual winners and the U12s who only lost one match during the day and drew with significantly larger clubs such as Stevenage A and Bishops Stortford A.
The U10s and U11s also did well with the U10s putting out an A & B team for the first time and the U7s and U8s aquitted themselves very well at the Tag Festival.
Minis & Juniors at Rickmansworth School
Chess Valley Minis & Juniors are pleased to confirm that we will now be training and playing home matches at Rickmansworth School.
The school will provide significantly increased playing space, changing rooms, car parking spaces and other benefits for this constantly growing section of the club.
Rickmansworth Sports Club will still be used for midweek training for the juniors and for social functions and after training / match socialising.

Saracens update - 2010/11
Once again, we are proud to be a Saracens Partner Club and enjoy all the benefits that this status affords us in the way of player visits, discounted Saracens tickets for both Vicarage Road and Wembley matches, the chance for our tag players to play on the pitch and more.

End Of Season Awards Evening
In early May we were pleased to celebrate the season with our awards evening, this year held at Durrants House. We had a BBQ and the children played games or chatted as did the parents and coaches.
It was a great opportunity to celebrate a successful season for the Youth section and every player went home with a certificate, the U12s with club ties for their move up to juniors and of course some players in each age group that were the recipients of medals and trophies!
